How to Make an Appointment

Please schedule your appointment here. Also, please read all the information on this page to help your cat have a smooth surgery.

Preparing for Drop-off

To ensure that we have a smooth check-in process, please follow these drop-off steps:

• Complete the Medical / Surgical Release Form (this will be sent via email when your appointment is confirmed).
• Label your carrier(s) with your last name and the cat’s name. Masking tape and a permanent marker are a great way to label your carrier. Feral cats must be transported in traps.
• Please arrive by 7:30 am for cats.
• Staff will complete check-in and take carrier(s) into the clinic.

Picking Up After Your Appointment

• Please arrive by 3:30 pm for cats.
• Clients will line up in the clinic and will be called one by one to go over your pet’s discharge details and return your cats to you. Please know that the staff cannot take the carriers to your car.
• Each cat goes home with written discharge instructions and a medical record with a rabies tag and certificate.
• Our clinic closes at 4:00 pm and all animals must be picked up prior to close.
• Here are some tips to help your cat have a good night after surgery.

Food / Water Before the Appointment

• Do not give your adult pet ANYTHING to eat after midnight the night prior to surgery. This includes treats, etc. You should continue to give your pet water.
• Kittens 6 months of age and younger should get a small breakfast the morning of surgery.
• We will feed your pet a small meal when they wake up, you do not need to bring any food with you to the appointment unless your pet has a food allergy (please make us aware of this during check in).
• If within the last 30 days your pet has been injured or had any symptoms of illness, including vomiting, diarrhea or skin issues, or has been on any medications, you must let the staff know when you make the appointment or at check-in. Any pet that has had a seizure of any kind or duration will not be approved for surgery under any circumstances. For the safety of your pet, approval for surgery is at the sole discretion of the veterinarian. Only healthy pets will be approved for surgery. If your pet is sick the day before surgery or has been on steroids at any time during the 4 weeks prior to surgery, please call and reschedule your appointment.

Catching Community Cats

We realize that trapping community cats is not an exact science. We are willing to work with you over a period of several days or weeks to get them into the clinic for sterilization. Read more in our Feral Cats resource section.
